SKIER INFORMATION

We are a fun group of people who share an enjoyment of skiing and snow boarding.

Booking your Skiing

Most arrangements for ski days and coming events are made by phoning our answerphone Ph 365-8348. Please phone by Monday night so our Instructor has time to organise helpers and transport. Remember to leave a clear message with your name and telephone number. When you leave your message, this is your confirmation of your booking. You will not be phoned back to confirm it.

Ski Days

If Mt Hutt is open we go skiing but if it is closed or on hold we don’t go. We ski every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. On the day check Mt Hutt’s ski report by phoning the CSA Snowphone Ph 366 7766, or Mt Hutt Snowphone Ph 0900 99 766 (calls cost) or listening to the radio station ski report (91FM) between 6.30 and 7.00am.

We provide transport in our two mini buses leaving from the Caltex Service Station, corner Russley and Yaldhurst Roads. On Saturdays and Sundays we leave at 7.30am (please be there by 7.15am ) and midweek at 8am (please be there by 7.45am ), returning on all days at around 6pm . You are required to be there fifteen minutes early to load up and ensure we start the day on time. Transport to and from Caltex Russley is your own responsibility.

On the field skiers/boarders will have a helper for the day, working on a one-to-one basis. The helper will be an able bodied skier/boarder trained to assist when necessary and ensure they have an enjoyable day.

Subscriptions

To join the Association it costs $60.00 for an individual or $80.00 for a family or business. $20.00 for a helper. Skiers/Boarders receive an ID card, which are good for people who ski independently and like to use other ski areas where discounted rates are available. It is left to each person’s initiative to carry ID and information about their medication or disability in case of accident.

The membership fee has been kept the same as the previous two years, the application form and medical information form are available for downloading now. These files need Microsoft Word to view them. If you don't have Word you can download Microsoft's Word Viewer here. Alternatively please email or phone (03 365 8348) for membership and medical form).

Special Introductory Offer

If you are unsure whether skiing is something that you would enjoy, we have a special introductory offer that you can take advantage of before you join the Association. For more information about this offer, phone the answer phone Ph365 8348 and leave a message.
